Meet Missy Heldt

The Steady Support Behind the Practice

Before joining Meyer Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Nutrition, Missy spent 18 years as an office manager for a pharmaceutical testing laboratory, followed by 10 years working in sales for a laser engraving company. With nearly three decades of professional experience behind her and her children getting older, Missy was ready for a new season—one that would allow her to stay involved professionally while enjoying greater flexibility for her family and life outside of work.

Meyer Chiropractic proved to be a natural fit. Today, Missy brings her years of experience, organization, and attention to detail to an important behind-the-scenes role within the practice. Serving as the steadfast anchor and organizational engine behind the scenes, she takes charge of billing, ordering, and the administrative workflows that keep the practice moving forward, allowing the clinical team to stay completely dedicated to patient care.

One of the things Missy appreciates most about her role is the flexibility it provides. With the ability to set her schedule and work remotely when needed, she can continue contributing to the practice while enjoying the freedom that comes with this season of life. Outside of Meyer Chiropractic, Missy also puts her entrepreneurial side to work through her own permanent jewelry business, which she operates part-time.

Family at the Center

A lifelong local, Missy is from the Hermann area and has deep roots in the community. She and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of two children, Woody and Holly, who are both college seniors.

Woody serves in the National Guard while attending the University of Central Missouri, and Holly plays volleyball at Missouri Western State University. With both kids building lives of their own, Missy is entering the world of "empty nesting" and looking forward to what this next chapter brings.

Her plans for the future aren't particularly complicated: plenty of time with her adult children, family vacations, and opportunities to keep making memories together.

That love of family is also why Christmas easily earns the title of Missy's favorite holiday. For her, it's all about having everyone together—and, of course, getting to give them gifts.

Walking, Shopping & A Good Rom-Com

When she isn't working or spending time with family, Missy enjoys detox yoga, walking, and shopping just about anywhere—as long as it isn't the grocery store. She especially enjoys getting outside for a walk along the Katy Trail.

When it's time to relax, Missy is always up for a good romantic comedy. She enjoys reading authors like Colleen Hoover and Christina Lauren, while Steel Magnolias holds the spot as her favorite movie.

When it comes to food, she's happy with local favorites like Bunkers and Barrels or Willie's Philly's—and she'll rarely turn down a trip to a good sushi restaurant.

At home, Chewy, her Shichon, rounds out the Heldt family.

Part of the Meyer Chiropractic Team

Since joining Meyer Chiropractic, Missy has found a team she genuinely enjoys being part of. Ask her what she appreciates most about the office, and her answer comes back to the people. She enjoys working alongside a team that supports one another and values being able to contribute her experience in a role that fits naturally into this season of her life.

While patients may not see everything Missy does behind the scenes, her contributions are felt throughout the practice. We're grateful to have another local face helping our team stay organized, connected, and running smoothly.
