Meet Dr. Jordyn Alford

Dr. Jordyn Alford grew up in St. Jacob, Illinois — a small town where everybody knows everybody, where you walk into a restaurant and see familiar faces, and life moves at a pace that values real relationships over rushed ones. That upbringing shaped not just who she is, but how she practices. Now settled in New Haven with her partner Taylor, and closer to the Stutzman family, Dr. Jordyn is eager to plant deep roots in the community and become a trusted presence in the lives of the people she serves.

A Personal Why

Dr. Jordyn's path to chiropractic care began with her grandfather. Watching him move through the medical system during his battle with cancer — offered opioids again and again as the primary solution — left a lasting impression. She knew then that she wanted to be as far from that cycle as possible. That conviction became a calling: help the body do what it was designed to do, heal itself, without defaulting to pharmaceuticals. Chiropractic care wasn't just a career choice. It was the answer she'd been looking for.

Clinical Expertise & Experience

Dr. Jordyn earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Hannibal-LaGrange University before going on to graduate summa cum laude with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University in 2022 — a distinction that reflects both her academic excellence and her deep commitment to her craft.

She approaches care the way she approaches people — by listening first. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all protocol, she meets patients where they are, blending chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and functional nutrition in whatever combination serves them best. If a patient responds beautifully to acupuncture, she leans in. If adjustments are moving the needle, she follows that lead. Her goal for every patient — whether they're walking in with acute sciatic pain or managing a long-standing issue — is simple: leave feeling better than when they arrived, confident in their care, and clear on the path forward.

A Competitor at Heart

Long before she was a doctor, Dr. Jordyn was an athlete. She played softball from a young age all the way through college, earning a scholarship to compete at the collegiate level as a pitcher and third baseman. Her talent and dedication earned her All-Conference and All-American honors — a testament to the same grit and discipline she brings to the clinic every day. She knows firsthand what it means to push through adversity, and she channels that understanding into the care she provides her patients.

A Mission of Genuine Connection

Dr. Jordyn believes in treating every patient like family. The way she'd want someone to care for her own grandmother — with kindness, patience, and real presence — is the standard she holds herself to every single day. She lives by a principle she shares with the Meyer team: be the good you want to see in the world. For her, that means showing up fully, being approachable, and never leaving a patient wondering whether someone is truly in their corner. If she can help you, she will.

Part of Something Special

Dr. Jordyn is honored to join Dr. Meyer, Dr. Hayden, and the incredible team at Meyer Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Nutrition. She deeply respects the generational trust that has been built within this practice and looks forward to contributing to the culture of care that Christina and Dr. Meyer established in 1999.

Beyond the Clinic

When she's not in the office, Dr. Jordyn is outside — hunting, fishing, and hiking with her partner Taylor and their two rescue dogs, Moonpie and Ruby. If there's a trail to walk or water to fish, that's where you'll find them. She's also working on carving out a little more time for the golf course, though she'll be the first to admit Taylor has the head start on that one.
